This executive desk was commissioned by Steve and Pat Waldo for their home
office. The bookcase ends and pull-out shelves were the custom request of the Waldo's. The Arts & Crafts type of style fits with there desired motif.
The woods used in this desk are Walnut, Cherrywood, Maple, Zebrawood, and
Rosewood.

There are over 140 individual inlays throughout the desk, most of which are
relief inlays. The Zebrawood Drawer Pulls reflect the brass Tydex pulls on the pull-out shelves above. The joinery is a combination of tongue-and-groove, mortise- and -tenon, miters, sliding dovetails, and blind dovetails
(in the drawers).

The desk is made as a modular piece. The Bookcases and Front Panel fit
together with bedrail connectors.
The Maple Sub-Top, and attached Drawer and Pull-Out Shelf Unit rests on the bookcases and the front panel.
The sub-top is secured with four visible screws which are hidden with removable
decorative wood plugs. The Desktop is then screwed to the Maple sub-top.
