This coffee table was commissioned by the Dovetail Collection
Gallery for sale off the floor of the gallery. I was asked to create a design
that could retail for no more than $4,000.00 and have some kind of shelf underneath.
The informal dimensions of 25" W X 58" L X 17" H but other
than that I could do anything I came up with. It is made from a single slab
of Honduran Mahogany with a Pecan center and a Curly Cherry wood magazine
shelf. The joinery is through wedged mortise and tenens.
The name comes from the equally paired units divided by the Pecan.
