Brian McLachlan's Woodworks - Furniture, Cabinets, Boxes

Brian McLachlan, a Master Woodworker and Master Member of Baulinas Craft Guild, will be offering the first in a series of woodworking classes open to both beginners and more experienced individuals who wish to work with a master craftsman. Some experience with hand tools and woodworking machinery will be useful.

• Class Project

The project will be construction of a hardwood jewelry box with exposed splines.
The first class Brian will discuss how to select wood and will show various samples of appropriate hardwoods for this type project. Then the class will select the woods they want to use.

• Dates

The boxmaking project is offered frequently throughout the year. For each session:

there will be 8 classes of 4 hours each for 32 hours of demonstration, instruction and hands-on learning.
the weekday classes will meet in the evening to accommodate those people coming from work.

• Class Size and Location

Sessions are limited to four students each. The classes will be taught in Brian's studio in San Geronimo, CA.

• Cost

The cost of the boxmaking class is $450 plus a $75 material fee.

Complete and print out the form and return it by mail to Brian with a check for the cost of the class, $450. The check should be made out to Brian McLachlan. The return address will be on the form.

You can secure your position with a deposit of $225. The balance of the tuition must be paid no later than the first class meeting.

The material fee of $75 can be included with your tuition payment or may be paid at the first class meeting.
